Two licensed systems, one applicator
SermeTel® coating systems (2F-1 & 5380 OS)
SermeTel® systems are multi-layer inorganic overlay coatings built on an aluminium-filled, galvanically sacrificial basecoat sealed with a chemically inert chromate/phosphate topcoat. The sealant keeps corrodants away from the base metal, greatly extending component life in gas turbines, steam turbines and industrial processing equipment.
Process 2F-1 was developed for extended corrosion protection of gas-turbine compressor rotors and disks — blades, vanes, hubs, shafts, cases and bearing supports — and can also restore the surface finish of corroded or eroded components. Process 5380 OS adds an aerodynamic, on-site-applicable finish for gas-path components, operating at up to 650 °C.
