Galvalume Pot & Sink Rolls
Manufacture and reconditioning of the rolls that run submerged in molten aluminium-zinc coating baths.

Industrial Sectors — 07 / Continuous process lines & coating plant
A continuous galvanizing or Galvalume line is one of the most hostile environments in metals processing. Pot and sink rolls are immersed in a molten 55% aluminium-zinc bath, where conventional stainless and chromium heat-resistant steels are progressively corroded and worn away by the melt itself — which is why journal sleeves and bushings are routinely clad by spray-fuse or transferred plasma arc rather than simply replaced. The line cannot stop, so roll change intervals govern plant economics.
How Rainbow supports it
Rainbow manufactures and reconditions steel rolls for the Galvalume industry, combining a foundry that casts ferrous and non-ferrous alloys — by sand moulding and centrifugally — with heat treatment, hardfacing, thermal spray and precision grinding. The same chain serves petrochemical rotating equipment, where high-temperature alloys, coatings and balanced rotors matter more than raw material cost.

Our specialities
Manufacture and reconditioning of the rolls that run submerged in molten aluminium-zinc coating baths.
Overlay cladding and machining of the sacrificial journal components that decide roll service life.
Pumps, compressors and drives overhauled, coated and balanced for continuous high-temperature duty.
Sand and centrifugal casting of heat- and corrosion-resistant alloys, heat treated and finish machined in-house.
